actively involved in producing state-of the- art electronic
identification system and selling them over the years.
Electronic identification is associated with the technology
of identifying a person or an object to the reading of
a coded tag. Based on the principle, ELID has developed
a number of applications, which are used extensively in
building security and personnel management.
The system offered by ELID for security management and
personnel management is access control system, time attendance
system and integrated security system. Access control
systems are used to restrict entry through doors, elevators
and car park. ELID is well known as one of the largest
supplier of access control system in ASIA. For door entry,
the system limits access according to the authorization
level of a person that is who the person is and at what
time he is allowed to enter. The systems can also record
and store details, such as who has entered a particular
room and at what time.
For Elevator control, the system limits the floors to
which a person is allowed to go according to his/her authority
level. The car parking system limits an authorized person
to bring in only one vehicle for one card.
The largest product of ELID is the EL-5000, which allows
direct connection of redder controller hardware to the
LAN via TCP/IP protocol. Time attendance system for recording
and computing working hours of staff and can be linked
to payroll software package to generate overtime pay.
ELID also supplies a full suite of time attendance software.
ELID also provides integrated security management system,
which integrates various sub-systems such as alarm monitoring,
CCTV and access supervision under common software, which
can be operated on multiple workstations. In y\the year
2000, ELID introduced its latest integrated system MATRIX.
It has a capacity of 8000 doors and over 100000 input/output
points. It uses latest EL-5000 controller which is network
ready and can be plugged directly into standard LAN and
WAN. In addition to standard functions, MATRIX also provides
a full suite of personnel management software including
photo ID Budging system, messaging, asset management and
